The super bowl is tomorrow and guests are coming over for the big game. As a host, you want to organize the TV room and have all the required items for a memorable event. Sunday is approaching and it’s time to get prepared. Friends are coming over but are you set for the ultimate Super Bowl party?
With such an event, the environment is as key factor to keep the excitement going. To help create the perfect super bowl atmosphere, here is a shopping list of items you should have for the Super Bowl party!
Food
This is the most important element of the night. When it comes to avoiding hungry guest, try finger food and snacks. You’ll also want to have other heavier options such as mac n cheese, rice, and barbecue. Keeping variety will avoid starving the pickier eaters. Here’s some ideas:

Sure most would want a beer mug but non-alcoholic beverages should be considered for those who will be driving home, those who simply don’t drink alcohol and for the kids that might be attending the party.
Ice
…And buy plenty of it. Oftentimes, the required amount is underestimated. To ensure that your guest get the amount they desire to cool their drinks, fill up the cooler/bucket with ice and have ice available in the freezer.
Cooler
Now that you have all the drinks, it is now time for you to put everything together. Be sure to place the cooler or bucket near the seats, that way the game won’t get interrupted.
Plastic bowls, plate, cups and utensils
For a self-serving buffet style party, have the plates set up in a way that would fit the order of the food arrangement. These items can also assist in decoration by choosing matching colors of your team or simply pick those with football designs. Buy the plates and bowls that can handle a heavy amount of food and that is sturdy enough to minimize the potential mess throughout the game’s excitement.
Bottle opener
Keep lots of bottle openers around. This will decrease the amount of movement throughout the game.
Napkins
A mess is inevitable. This will be needed not only for your guests but for your peace of mind as well. Finger food can leave the TV room covered in greasy fingerprints all through the night and napkins are the best item to have to fight the chaos.
Seating
After food and beverage this is the most important part of the event. Be sure to have enough seats in the TV room and place them so that everyone can watch comfortably from where they sit. Take out the old camping chair if more seats are needed. Pillows and blankets for those who will be sitting on the floor. You can ask your guests to bring folded chairs if needed.
Hard liquor and mixers
Not everyone is planning to drive home and not everyone enjoys beer. Hard liquor and mixers would be a great option for your guest.
Decorations
For more visual affect buy decoration to add to the atmosphere. You can buy items like inflatable footballs balloons, banner, and a plastic super bowl trophy and streamers. The color should be based on the chosen team.
Depending on the rule of the party (BYOB or Potluck), certain items might be more or less required. The kind of party you will have should be decided as early as possible in order to purchase the right items as early as possible.
